SUMMARY OF THE SERVICE
- Aim of this service is to provide you with the appropriate skills regarding your specific goals and needs. When applicable we apply active therapy, ie. strength and skill training in your daily environment and activities for training, but also passive therapy ie. passive range of motion exercises, therapeutic massage and kinesio- taping when necessary.
- When working or dealing with nearly or fully bed-ridden people it is very important to do transfers safely for yourself and the person being tranferred and to also know how to prevent pressure injuries from occurring. I regularly work in care homes and usually personnel are welcoming for specialist visits, so cooperation results positive results. There are many excellenet aids that usually need to be adapted to be used safely and appropriately, for example crutches, rollators, orthotics, aids for transfer between different surfaces.
ABOUT ME
- I have worked as a physiotherapist since 2011 when I was invited to work at Keila Centre for neurological rehabilitation, expectations were high and it really developed skills for teamwork and practical skills in neurological rehabilitation.
- In the private sector (at home physiotherapy service) i’ve been active since 2014, in 2017 I co-founded a non-profit organisation for rehabilitation services for adults and children. Currently I’m also partly employed at an out-patient ward and I throroughly enjoy the possibilities these different experiences have to offer.
- I speak three languages: Estonian, English and Russian.
